JREWING: I'm Erlend, and I play guitar. The one next to me is Petter, and he plays bass.

BURNINGANGEL666: How long have you guys been a band for?

JREWING: We started out in March 1998, so this month we're having a 5 year celebration. But we've been a serious band for approx. 3 years.

BURNINGANGEL666: Do you have to have other jobs,

JREWING: Well, none of us can afford to do it fulltime... I'm the only one who does the band close to fulltime, but it's just because there's so much to organize. Things that need to be taken care of, and I can survive because the band pays my phone bill etc.

JREWING: Everyone has jobs and school, but as any band we'd all love to just do the band. Maybe sometime we can make that happen.

BURNINGANGEL666: Yea. Well that's a good goal. How long have you been on GSL for?

JREWING: It's just our new record that's out on GSL. It was decided upon to go with GSL sometime like May last year, so that's close to a year now. But the record just came out...

BURNINGANGEL666: Ok. Yea. Someone sent it to me.

JREWING: I guess that was quick.

BURNINGANGEL666: So it says in your bio that you wanted to do something different than the "old school plagued Norwegian scene."

JREWING: Well, back when we started the band the scene in Norway was very, very sad. All jocks and no fun. Fuck that.

BURNINGANGEL666: Like what bands were people into at the time that you wanted to stray from?

JREWING: Just these awful bands wearing track pants, Nike shoes and headbands. It was pretty embarrassing. And none of them made songs that were interesting, they were just doing the old thing over and over and over again. And there was so much arrogance if you weren't in the clique, so to speak.

BURNINGANGEL666: Do you think you have developed a following, and maybe changed the music scene a bit?

JREWING: Yes.

BURNINGANGEL666: Nike shoes are a bit embarrassing.

JREWING: Yep, especially when there's more focus on that than making good songs.

BURNINGANGEL666: Have you guys toured America?

JREWING: We did a 2 week tour with Pretty Girls Make Graves and Hint Hint on the West Coast of the US in November. We had an amazing time.

JREWING: The girls are hotter here though.

BURNINGANGEL666: LOL

JREWING: Oh yes. We have something called natural beauty here.

BURNINGANGEL666: Do you think the girls in America are too done up?

JREWING: There's always cute girls at Jr Ewing shows, but I got to be honest: Scandinavia is heaven for young boys.

JREWING: I think it's somewhat the same. You can't see actual fucking on TV here, and I believe that goes for the US too.

JREWING: It's taboo, but everyone watches it. I have a lot of female friends who like porn a lot.

JREWING: Porn can be a good thing.

BURNINGANGEL666: I know. It can make you much better in bed.

JREWING: Absolutely. A lot of young people learn things from porn they could never learn anywhere else. I think there's a lot of boring sex out there, and that's never a good thing.

JREWING: We played somewhere in Europe, and this girl fell so in love with our singer, she wanted to pay his plane ticket to fly down from Norway after tour. He said no.

JREWING: One of the people in the band ended up with two 30 year old girls/women, on a boat ride down to Germany.

JREWING: He had a very good time.

BURNINGANGEL666: Well, as a band, what are you working on now,

JREWING: Well, we're in need to change of all this natural beauty, so we're heading down to Europe again in April to give them some mind blowing punk-rock.

JREWING: And we're working on new songs.

BURNINGANGEL666: What's so mind blowing about them?

JREWING: We're better than 99% of the punk bands out there

BURNINGANGEL666: How so?

JREWING: Because it's not a hobby for us. We're no joke, we take this very seriously.

BURNINGANGEL666: What do you think is lacking form the other 99% of bands?

JREWING: People are more into being a certain type of band, instead of trying to evolve and make music with meaning. There's too much style, and not enough substance.

BURNINGANGEL666: Well, ok, is there anything else you would like to add?

JREWING: Just give me a good song god dammit! I don't want to see your new clothing line!
