To all the teenagers angry that I would question their maturity... well, I apologize. When you get to be my age and have raised children perhaps you do forget a bit of what it is like to be younger. Wavery, very good points made and it is very true what you say about arguments that can be made. As I often find myself saying, things can be argued any which way. Debate hardly ever uncovers truth, it just shows who has more belief, conviction, and, sometimes, aggression. Your point about how people may say that porn is inherently exploitative is sadly what many people hold as truth. It is complete ignorance. The adult industry, whether you're indie or mainstream, still has to play by certain rules and is very much a legitimate business. Like any business, people can be used and people are often expendable. I would not say that those that work in the porn biz are any more prone to exploitation than, say, your average 9-5 job. In fact, I'd say that your typical "real" job will probably exploit you a lot more, but it is probably so under-handed and subtle that you may not notice it. Truth be told, society has become so fuckin' PC about things that it is sickening. Some of the greatest advocates of laws that ban or severely cripple the adult industry are some of the BIGGEST closet deviants out there yet they're supporting these silly notions that porn is wrong and hurts the moral fiber of society. Show me a person who is uncomfortable with porn and I'll show you a person who is a prude, insecure, hypocritical, and probably just overall unhappy. To me, the spirit of porn and the indie movement as a whole is that we give a huge middle finger to mainstream society. That is why I never would have subscribed to a porn site long-term until now. The issue about Morgan being in high school is actually pretty important if we want to consider porn legitimate because it's between two consenting adults. In that context, neither adult can be in a situation in which they are being exploited, even in a very subtle fashion.
