So I missed the Black & Blue Ball again. Big surprise. Oh well. A lot of rad things are happening this summer, so I guess I shouldn't worry too much about something that's over. So the other day I was headed over to Troma Studios to ask about going to Buffalo and working on their new movie Poultrygeist. I figured I'd bring the rest of the money from my Tromadance fundraiser too. That might move seeing me up the list of priorities--slick, right? I'm not sure anyone even knew I was coming anyway, but I like pretending I'm being super-slick. So I emailed and took the train and the subway and walked. I was supposed to do some totally cliche but fun graveyard photo shoot with my friend Amy, but she changed her mind by the time I'd gotten to the train station with all my clothes. I just need to move to the City because no one seems to realize that I need to leave my house like three hours before we hang out, so canceling an hour and a half beforehand isn't cool. Anyway, I got to the Troma building and as I was standing outside finishing a cigarette, some guy comes up and tells me he saw me walking and decided I had to be in his new movie. I asked what it was, half expecting him to be the guy working on Poultrygeist, but he wasn't. He kinda talked briefly about porn, obviously trying to downplay that part. I love it when people approach me like an average, upstanding citizen. He assured me that it would be a non-sex role in his new movie, Atomic Skullfuck Orgy, a porno spoof of the Patty Hearst kidnapping in the style of John Waters. Now this was definitely right up my alley. So we exchanged contact info and I went inside. Getting a spot working on Poultrygeist was easy. I don't know why I was worried. There usually isn't a huge shortage of need for unpaid workers. So I went upstairs to hang out with Kevin for a bit, and I figured I'd check out this guy's web site. Black Mirror. It sounded familiar. I realized the guy I'd met did the movie Contract Girl. I'd seen the ad in AVN and thought I should pick it up. It was coming out on VCA, a company I don't entirely trust. They do put out Eon Mckai's stuff though, and I like that a lot. When I saw the site, I realized the movie must have been cut...a lot. His work looked great, but the way it was would be way too much for VCA. I'm totally psyched about the project now though. It should be great. What's better than campy, political porn...that's actually hot? Features that are entertaining and exciting are few and far between, so this should be awesome. The only problem is they may be shooting around the same time as the Troma folks, but I'm really really hoping I can do both. At the end of our last conversation, it was looking like I'll be playing the assistant to the reporter...who's being played by Tristan Taormino! Man, this summer should be great. Who gets asked to be in an awesome movie on the way to ask about working on an awesome movie? So now I'm quitting my job. What am I doing after the movies? I don't know. I'm seriously considering looking for a domme job in NYC and moving. I think I'd be really afraid of not being taken seriously the first couple times, but after that I think I could really get into it. That's a job where you actually go home feeling good about yourself. I mean, it's satisfying work with great pay and cool clothes. I wouldn't have to change between work and clubbing, and I'd get into a lot of clubs for free or cheaper. Some guy who ran a dungeon was talking to the girl in the fetish shop I was at a couple weeks ago, and I should have said something to him, but I'm socially retarded. Oh well. I won't have much choice by the end of the summer. I'm not looking for another crappy retail job around here. It's not worth the effort to struggle to get a job I'll hate to stay in a place I hate. I'm thinking if things work out in the City, I may even apply for school in the spring. So yeah, we'll see. Whatever happens, this summer should be an adventure!
