The most monumental thing about my trip to Montreal this Summer was not just the killer mushrooms... I met the most awesome girl ever. We were like two peas in a pod in a very short time. We had a lot of those "unspoken" things, just because we never had to talk about any friendship quidelines, we just both genuinely liked each other that much.
We called each other in the morning when we woke up pretty much daily, we lounged together, went out together, slept in the same bed, when we weren't at work we were pretty much together. It's like one of those "ideal" girl-girl friendships. We could be totally and completely ourselves around each other. She's a pothead just like me, and we both roll pretty great joints too. Just sayin'
Anyway, I miss her a lot and that's why I'm writing this post, because I just scanned some of the pictures I got back from my disposible camera. I wanted to share :). The first two are us at the Tam-tams.
For those of you who do not know what the tam-tams are, when it gets warm enough in the summer, thousands of people go to the mountain (Mont-Royal), and smoke weed, play drums, play games, practice acrobatics. People would tie large-scale scarf like material to high limbs of the trees, where they twirled their bodies into different positions just by using their strenth, and this fabric tied to a tree. On one section of the mountain, people gathered to have these "fake wars". You would see kids riding the bus to go to tam-tams with their fake armor and cardboard swords.
My friend and I would always wear our flowiest comfortable clothes, so we could get stoned and dance to the drums. We always biked on this path along St-Catherine. Sometimes I would take my pup Japhy in my back pack with his head poking out. Whoever took this photo (a random passerby), I want to FIND him and personally thank him for getting the angel in like we requested, but also our blanket, and the direction of the trees (which we did not request). I really like these photos. And the third one is just us being silly.
