About 7 years ago I met this guy when I was going with my best friend (who is still my best friend) to church. I was like 11 and had this rad mohawk and was Jewish and totally akward and confused at this juncture.

She introduced me to this older guy who was the hot punker man who went to church. My friend was always crushing on him hard, and ever since I met him (and connfirmed his sexiness), she would update me on his whereabouts... "Oh he's leaving town!" or "Now he's engaged" or "he's back in town".

Well, she recently told me he was here, single, and leaving in a month to Conneticut. So I shot him an email on goood ol' myspace and told him something like, "Remember me, I met you 7 years ago, I was the akward jew with a mohawk... let me take you to coffee before you leave." 

He responded back the next day in e-mail, phone, and I did the most texting I've ever done.

We finally hang out, and well this guy is totally the guy version of me. Afraid of commitment but totally wanting to fall in love hopelessly and romantically. Addicted to Social Distortion. Well read. There were a few times when he would say something I was totally thinking, we'd reach for a cigarette (we both smoke the same kind) at the same time, or he'd say a phrase I always say! 

Anyway, he's pretty amazing. Does that make me arrogant if I'm gushing about this guy who is like me? Haha, I totally love myself.
