hey all, i just got back from a weekend in new york city. it was, for the most part, a great time. I went down with my fellow senior sculpture people and we stayed at a hostel that was actually pretty nice. it wasn't like hotel-nice, or home-nice, but no one got raped or stabbed and no one's shit got stolen. we traveled via greyhound bus, and our first bus driver (from maine to boston) was a douchehole and i hated him, but our second driver, maurice, from boston to new york, was awesome. my luggage did get a little ripped on the way back, but other than that it was mostly a bareable 9 hour bus-ride.i saw some awesome art stuffs. MoMA of course, a bunch of galleries in Chelsea (Nick Cave is my hero), poked around Greenwich Village, went barhopping till 2:30 (bars up here close at 1), scored a hat in China town, ate tons of good eats - including <3 bagels <3 , and spent all of my money.
now, the main reason for this blog is for me to raise awareness about an epidemic that i have noticed over the past couple of years. This problem seems to strike girls from early teens to late 20s in the NYC/Philly/south jersey area. Ok,
ladies, please, PUT SOME PANTS ON!
leggings are not pants! when you walk out of your house in the morning and find yourself to be wearing a shirt and leggings and boots you should not be thinking "oh cute!" you should be thinking "oh shit, i forgot to put on bottoms, how terribly embarassing". i am not opposed to vagina (clearly) but when i am sitting on the subway or passing you in the grocery store, i dont need to see your personal topography. dont get me wrong, i dont hate leggings, they're awesome, they keep you warm under a miniskirt (or, if you, like me, live where it's very very cold; they can keep you warm under pants). So, go on ladies, put on your leggings, but make sure you are also wearing a skirt or shorts or very long sweater (not one that just grazes the top of your coot) or bottoms of some sort. Please and Thank you.
Lovies and x's and o's and all that shit
