so summertime means several things for me: work, beach, and bike rides.

i've been working a lot this past week and i will be again this week. which is cool cuz i'm making money but also it sucks because i work at a pizza stand and it's gonna be hella hot. yesterday i worked an 11 hour shift and it was 85 out and i had to stand around in fron of 5 ovens all set to 700 degrees. don't worry, i only burned myself once, and it actually looks kinda cool, like a tiger-stripe on the side of my hand. i work with/around a lot of dirty old men and today one of them came into the stand and told me that my sunglasses made me look like a bike...which i don't get. and then he smacked my ass! what a perv!

but hooray! tomorrow is my day off! and i will go to the beach to attempt to get tan. it's supposed to be 90 and i live on the beach. like for real for real, 4 cottages from the beach(yes i say cottage cuz i'm from new england. get over it)...maybe, hopefully, i'll be able to go swimming tomorrow without freezing to death. 

also, i've been riding my bike a lot more. there's this really beautiful scenic road right near my house that i ride along. it's a 6 mile ride along the ocean and past a state park and it's newly paved so it's smooth and it smells like beach roses and the past few days the air has been thick and warm but with a refreshing breeze off the ocean...it's so nice. but today some girl leaned out of a truck window and yelled a bunch of shit including "she's a ho" and then gave me the finger!! what the fuck. i was just riding my bike! i mean, i was wearing shorts and a sportsbra cuz it's hot but it's not like i was trying to pick up guys, i was with my boyfriend and wearing stinky sneakers and a helmet. lame.
