so yesterday was sooo amazing. i got to sleep in and i had the day off. so i called up my girrrrrrrrl sparky. she came and picked me up from joanna's with her absolutely beautiful friend ghita. the two of them looked super cute together, both with short bob cuts, short summery dresses, and giant black bug eyed sunglasses. sparky decided to show me?venice beach. the minute we were in the thick of it, i just fell in love. sooo many beautiful people but all kinds of people. all just rollerblading and riding sweet bikes, strolling and hanging out. ghita and i were most excited to shop! we headed to the beach to catch the drum circle and it was amazing. tons of people playing all kinds of drums and percussion intstruments. one guy was even playing those tiny hand cymbals most seen with monkeys in little red hats. the crowd was just amazing. it reeked of pot and sweat and bliss. there was a circle of people dancing - every kind of person. an awkward middle
aged woman with frizzy hair and a fanny pack, and old guy dancing so hard he was red and pouring with sweat, i thought for sure he'd pass out, a gaggle of pairs of cute hippy girls with wiggly arms, some boys dancing with girls, people dancing alone but in a crowd. ah it was something to be seen. then we found some random guy with a dog and we smoked pot and drank wine with him near the water. we were all just the perfect combination of buzzed and headed back to shop somemore. i was looking for some bling, like a giant gold necklace with a jesus on a cross type deal. i just think itd be really funny. or maybe new plugs. didnt find either. we were starved and headed to what sparky called the whole?venice beach experience. it was supposedly the best thai food ever. ghita ordered thai saki that came cold in a little glass bottle. OH MY FREAKING GOD. it was the best thing ive ever tasted. enough that i made the cheesy move of bringing the bottle home with
me. between the saki, the giant glass of oh so perfect?thai iced tea, and the absolutely amazing yellow curry and chicken sate we ordered, i was in food fucking heaven!!!. we smoked a cigarete then cameback in and ordered the mango and sweet?sticky rice. ahhhhh just heaven. fast as fuck and just as full, we headed for home. sparky, being the amazing rad chick that she is played all the perfect songs.? two songs from the goodfellas soundtrack, one being "speedo" by the cadillacs, "sweet emotion" by aerosmith, "free ride" by??edgar winter group?then of course "low rider." at somepoint we were all just bobbing our heads, me keeping beat on my leg, all smoking cigs windows down just silent in our happiness. the ghita exclaims "im so fucking happy right now!!" and as if we had all been holding our breath we all just kind of squeal and make happy sounds of exaltation. it was fucking perfect. i got back to joannas and took a bunch of benadryl because for some
unknown reason ive been soooo itchy. like drive me to the looney bin itchy and passed out on the couch watching adult swim.? i dont want to ever go home!!!!
