Of course they don't remember. Did those kids get up every morning thinking "how can I make every one I meet feel positive about themselves?" NO, they got up every morning thing of competition, competition, competition. This country teaches its children to be selfish assholes and then acts aghast when they grow up to be selfish assholes. The best way to tell your parents and all authority figures you don't believe in their values is to say "I care about ALL people, and I'm going to model my values upon this."

Aw, I can relate as well. I was pretty akward, overweight, and severely picked on. Kids don't know how mean they are I think, and it's so interesting because I've talked with kids on facebook that traumatized me by making fun of me and teasing me and they HARDLY remember. They hardly remember instances that I can recall so clearly. Such an interesting perspective to gain. And hey, it doesn't mean the world, but there is some satisfaction (even if lower-level satisfaction) when someone that used to pick on you messages you about how cool and amazing you look ;) and how you're life seems so glamorous!!! (in concept).

Double posting is what makes us realize we need to be patient with the interweb. People who never double post never learn to hit submit once, even if it takes a minute for the page to load!

this blog is so cute and I can relate. I was bullied in elementary school, bad. and i learned, once you bloom, everyone wants to be your friend and thats hard to cope with. thats how i learned to be nice to people regardless of who they are and what they look like. we're all just skin. you're beautiful though <3
