When I talked to my friends about it, I was like look, I don't expect all of you to be super enthusiastic but the most I could expect is that you will support that I am doing what I want to do - and fortunately most of them felt exactly that way. Before my bf (not including breaks we've been together over a year and half) I was sooooo slutty. Not even cool slutty... like dumb slutty. Hahaha. My two best girlfriends basically said they would rather see me doing porn while in a happy healthy relationship then hook up with random guys. I'm happier and it works out nicely. All of my bf's friends (&mutual friends) are basically okay with it as long as my boyfriend is. They are just very protective of him. They sorta make jokes when we party and call me Phoenix in person - they know i won't take any offense to it or take it personally but they are more worried about offending my bf! Haha. Gotta admit they do say some funny shit and we both laugh at it. But of course there are those who will talk shit and fuck them. They can hate all they want - I am probably happier then them anyway. At the end of the day, I am his and people watch me bone other people on the internet. The difference is the connection you have with that person. Porn is lust, not love. I guess some friends might think I have a skewed view of things but I see the difference and I can draw a line between it. The important thing is doing what you want, and as it has been said... if they do not support you and love you for who you are they are not your friends. Ok sorry I'm rambling. Perhaps a *hug* would have sufficed. Haha <3

I try to remember all these things when I begin to think about what reasoning was involved in all this...it doesn't matter. My husband was real torn up about it too, but I assured him that there's plenty of time for awesome people in our lives when we get more involved with BA.

Yeah, it's not like you joined some hate-filled cult--you just decided to do some porn. If they don't know why you want to be part of BA they probably don't know you very well anyway. But don't be angry--just say, "I'm sorry you can't accept me for who I really am."

As long as you're happy that's what matters. People have hang-ups, that shouldn't be your problem. You can make new friends that have the same views/interests as you now =)

It's kind of sad that people would dislike you for being yourself. I agree with Mitch though. As far as I'm concerned being any part of Burning Angel is simply an extension of one's personality. For me personally, I love BA so much because everyone here is so fucking cool and it's better than my day to day life, so I prefer being here. I've dubbed this site - my home away from home.

Thanks everybody, as much as I tried to just clear this out of my mind, I was losing sleep from it last night. It sucks, it made me think, who the fuck ELSE is doing this shit and I just dont know it yet...fuck 'em.
