HotRod Designs is an ever-changing jewelry company I started about 6-7 years ago. I was always heavy into accessorizing...tons of bracelets and necklaces all the time. Then, when I finally pierced my ears, it revealed an entirely new obsession.
rn rn rn rnI would often go to stores to find new cute things to wear, and would see something I liked in one pair of earrings, that I also liked in another, and I wish they could be combined! So I found myself reconstructing these pieces to make something that more suited my taste using bits and pieces from other earrings, or necklaces...pretty much anything I could find. I began recieving a lot of compliments!
rn rn rn rnI looked online and started dealing with many suppliers, and opened a store on Ebay, selling all over the US and sometimes to countries I can't even spell! Through the years my designs have gone through many changes to appease trends...but the company name has never changed. I now have an Etsy store, which is WAY cheaper than selling on Ebay, and way more comfortable. I still make pieces in a certain design simply because well...they often sell, however, I do make many items that originate from the heart and soul of the true intention of HotRod Designs, which is to carry on the tradition of kustom kulture, in tribute to artists lik Ed Roth, and Von Dutch [not the crappy clothing line], and tattoo inspired art.
rn rn rn rnMy creations are widely known in my hometown and this year I have been invited to have a booth at the 2nd annual James Foreman "Warriors Never Die" Benefit for Adopt-A-Pet. Last year I attended with the game review company I worked with, and it was a blast. It's in a large multi-plex we have here, which has like 3-4 different bars in it. We have silent auctions, bands, great drinks, food, and lots of merchants, supporters, and sponsors there. We all donate a portion of our revenue to the cause, and that's all collected and given to our local Adopt-A-Pet in the form of a GIANT check :) Last year I did the interview, and wrote the story on it for the game review site.

rn rn rn rnNow, there's a few things I need to feel fully prepared for the benefit in November...there's lots of new supplies I've been looking at, and I was thinking of getting a cheap special table cloth, and some jewelry stands I've seen on Ebay, and a 10x10 tent/cover type thing. I'm going to be inside, but my idea was to make my area look like a freakin party! I plan on wearing a bikini, or something skimpy, and dance around most of the time to encourage people to come party, donate, and buy things. As far as supplies, I've been looking at a large amount of things, very cheap, but I'd like to spend about $250-$300 on new findings/charms/penants...table cloth shouldn't be more than about $5, and I believe I can get that tent for about $30 at Walmart, the jewelry stands alltogether might be around $50.
rn rn rn rnSo, I could really use anyone's help who's willing to give it! whether it be donating to my paypal, even if it's just $1...hell I'll even take change! You dont need a paypal account to donate, just a major credit card.
