Holy Houses of the Holy! Has it really been 36 years since Led Zeppelin were robbed of $203,000? It sure has and to mark the day I'll be reading from and signing BLACK DOGS: The Possibly True Story of Classic Rock's Greatest Robbery, my novel about four burnout kids who plot to rob the world's biggest rock band.
Stories Bookstore is a rad shop on Sunset Blvd in Echo Park. I've been told there will be a DJ spinning Zeppelin, Sabbath, and other killer tunes while free Sailor Jerry rum flows. This is a recipe for a particularly sloppy reading but I'll make up for it with a few stories about the real-world knuckleheads who inspired the fictional knuckleheads in Black Dogs. Then I'll answer some questions about the book, write something silly in your copy, and we'll all do a shot. Sound good?
