So last friday I decided to take a trip to the DMV to trade in my Maryland ID for a New York State ID. I had 2 proofs of residency, a US passport, a Maryland State ID, and my original birth certificate. Seems like enough right? It wasn't. So I go to the express DMV near Penn Station and wait almost an hour for them to tell me I had to go to another location. I then walked 3 blocks down 34th street in the MIDDLE OF THE DAY where there was a million tourists EVERYWHERE. Anyway, after waiting in line for another 20 minutes, I'm told I need my Social Security Card. Not having this, they send me 17 blocks away to the Social Security office. Just so you know, I had to walk this. The worst part was that I walked STRAIGHT THRU Times Square. It was a nightmare. I finally get there, and am told I need to go to the Brooklyn office since I live in Brooklyn. Which was open until 4:30pm. It was 4pm at that time, and I was about an hour train ride from the place I needed to be. I literally wanted to kill people.
Today I decided to take a trip to get my Social Security card. Just so you all know, there is ONE office for ALL OF BROOKLYN to get their Social Security cards. I waited in line for 3 hours. But I finally got it. Yay!!!!!!!!!!!! I would be a very happy girl if i NEVER had to see that building ever again. :)
