So yesterday I was supposed to work (I dance in New Haven, CT at the Catwalk) but I got a phone call saying that the club would be closed for the night. OK, whatever. I really need the money for my move to Austin this week, but whatever, I wanted to hang with the dude anyway so I figured "whatever, who cares..."
Today Nick called me from the shop and left me some frantic message on my machine. He's all "Chels! The reason the Catwalk was closed last night was because there was a double homicide out front! I was worried about you, but I don't want to freak you out. Call me back"
Massive Fail, Nick. I'm FREAKING OUT. I have to move Monday, my car is in the shop and needs $1000 in repairs, and I'm a stripper, so you know my bank account has no more than $500 in it! I have to make like at least $1200 between now and Monday, which would've been a stretch to begin with, but now not only will it be dead (bad pun) at the club, but you know, I have to worry about drive-bys! AHHHH!
