I did the cleanse too. I lasted 17 hours.

January, I love you too! Eww - laxatives and saltwater...I will never drink lemonade again! My kids aren't drinking that shit either, dammit! Last night, my hairdresser told me terrible medical explanations about The Master Cleanse - about how it can send a healthy person into all sorts of diabetes, and how what you're "cleansing" isn't really a cleanse...it's toxins that your digestive system is giving off cause it's in shock. Your body will maintain homeostasis naturally - all organisms do. If you want to do a cleanse to feel clean and healthy, I'd suggest just raw vegetables and fresh juices (not that Tropicana bullshit - FRESH) for awhile. I have a friend who does that for sometimes months at a time and she feels great and energetic.

Do your research on the cleanse before trying it. It's only safe to do it for 3 to 10 days. But you have to eat smart afterwards or you'll gain it back AND more. Get a gym membership after the cleanse also. I have so much energy now since I did the cleanse. :)
