With the condom usage, are performers still required to undergo testing? I know they were pushing for condoms in place of testing...

Word. I'm all for condoms in porn, just not the way LA has decided to go about it. I would be much happier if instead of forcing condoms on everyone, time was spent just re-enforcing the fact that performers have the legal choice to use them in any situation. 

I think it should be the Producer/Director's choice whether or not condoms get used in the films.  The end product is their vision, afterall.  Performers can then choose who they want to work for and who they don't. Porn is a fantasy.  For most of us, that doesn't include condoms. I'm all for regular testing, though - condoms or not. 

if it were a perfect world and regular testing worked 100% of the time, I'd totally agree with you JoJo. But sometimes it just doesn't and people are put at risk. Sex, no matter if it is film or at home/reality or fantasy, should always be about complete consent. Plenty of directors are awesome about everything and in most cases it's not even an issue, but the producers that aren't could use a reminder. There's nothing wrong with taking a little step to make the industry as a whole even safer than it already is. I think it is sexy and inspiring. :)
